The island of faith and miracles. It’s known widely for its sacred Greek Orthodox pilgrimage site: the Church of Panagia Evangelistria, in the port and main town, Hora.
Panormos
Panormos is a sandy beach in front of the traditional fishing village. At the beach there are many taverns and cafeterias. On the left, at the entrance of the bay lies the islet called Planitis (Planet). The area is usually windy and it is ideal for windsurfing.
Kolibithra
Kolibithra bay is on the north shore of the island of Tinos, facing the north Aegean sea, home of the infamous local “meltemi”, a strong north wind that blows mainly during the summer months. It has two sandy beaches Mikri Ammos and Megali Ammos. Mikri Ammos is the more narrow part of the marine basin, while Megali Ammos is much longer and wider.
